This time I've picked up an important topic which is round the most sophisticated and widely spread Malware which is Ransomware attacks.

In very simple words, A Ransomware attacks are those kinds of attacks where bad guys first encrypt a victim's file or even disk and then ask you for ransomware i.e. Money and most of the time it's in a form of Cryptocurrency to get the decryption key.
2. How Ransomware works::
In order to understand how a ransomware attack works, I've discussed the anatomy of a Ransomware attack. Once you understand its anatomy you will be able to understand how these ransomware attacks work. These attacks normally spread via::
- Phishing Mails
- Infected Urls
- Malware attachments
- Social networking attacks
- Web Application Vulnerablities & many other vectors
3. How to prevent Ransomware attacks::
I'll not get into detailing out all information which; I've already shared in the Vlog. But here are some important pointers that should help you to overcome/prevent Ransomware attacks..
- Never ever install software or give it administrative privileges until & unless you explicitly want to give the software administrative privileges
- Software patches and Your Operating System always updated
- Install a good AntiVirus Software and keep it updated
- Take security professionals help whenever required
- Most importantly backup frequently & rather automate the process. When required use your backup systems & Never pay a Ransomware
