Taxation refers to the payment of something. When a person curates, they are not paying anything. You're right, this isn't the best place to discuss the curve. Its something that would be specific to individual HFs. Discussions around the curve should be addressed during HF discussions, when changes may be acted on. It would also be interesting to see some modeling of different curves if anyone has some time and expertise.
