It looks like the problem has been fixed. At least it now works for me. Both, my profilepic and -header now also appear on DTube as intended.

Ganz ehrlich: ich vermisse die "gute alte Zeit", als Zensursula, VDS und Bundestrojaner noch unsere größten Sorgen in Sachen Überwachung und Zensur waren. Wir Piraten und Ex-Piraten, zu denen

Another explanation, at least for Germany, could be the "Netzwerkdurchsetzungsgesetz", a law that basically requires all social media to ban "obviously illegal" content in 24 hours

Depends on whom the Democrats will run in 2020. If they run someone like Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard or Nina Turner caring about the issues most people care about, issues like universal healthcare, tuition

Danke für das interessante Video. Gibt es auch eine Möglichkeit, den http-Referer bei Chrome und Brave abzuschalten?

It depends on the person you are talking to. There are people who aren't that far down in the rabbit hole already and could still be convinced that their conspiracy-theory-/pseudoscience-stuff is wrong.

Update: Ok, I was wrong with my assumption. It was a little misunderstanding. The 500kb-, now seemingly 1mb-limit, only applies to video-thumbnails and unfortunately this alternative-version also wasn't

Thank you for this post. Unfortunately I can't help because I currently have the same problem. I have already tried it with a compact <500kb-version of the profilepic which also didn't work because
