Global Demand for Cisco Certified Design Expert Certification Professionals
Cisco Certified Design Expert Certification is a highly specialized Cisco certification. It proves one's ability to design sophisticated network solutions for companies. Here are some insights into the paths, benefits, and industry standing of this certificate for anyone considering this field of work.
Cisco Certified Design Expert Certification Salary and Career Path
The annual salary for CCDEs in the United States starts at $140,000 and goes up to $185,000, depending on the field of work and experience. The usual career path includes going through the position of Network Architect, through the position of Infrastructure Design Lead, to the position of Director of Network Engineering.
In the UK, the annual salary for CCDEs ranges from £90,000 to £120,000. This progress is almost exclusively seen among individuals who combine this certificate with real project development experience. Thus, the certificate is very useful for those who aim to get to a higher career level, but it is not helpful enough without experience in network architecture.
Is Cisco Certified Design Expert Certification Worth It?
Considering how fast the industry changes and the growing significance of software-defined networking, there will always be a shortage of experts able to design sophisticated networks. Thus, certified architects will face a constant demand.
There is one important note: the examination is really tough; therefore, few people pass it successfully. This high difficulty of the exam increases its value, since the number of certified people is limited. More and more companies start requiring this certification for senior positions.
Global Demand for Cisco Certified Design Expert Certification Professionals
The North American area, especially the USA, offers the highest opportunities in the field. High demand comes from finance, defense, and cloud infrastructure. Second place goes to Germany, where the demand comes primarily from manufacturing and industrial networking. There is also growing demand in Australia, tied to updates in banking and governmental systems.
One of the areas with the least recognized demand is Saudi Arabia; however, projections are increasing due to Vision 2030 projects. Finally, there is a steady demand in the UK coming from managed services and the public sector.
As networks become bigger and more sophisticated, there will be a demand that exceeds the number of professionals in the field.
