Hello fundition readers and steemians alike!
Today we would like to introduce you some of our regular recipients that are grouped from different locations. We do not target on a specific race; rather, we concentrate on making sure that those who are in need of help are genuine folks.
Some of these families are validated by pastors at out reaches; while others are interviewed after we have visited the conditions of their homes.
These are the Indian community from the Tamil church branch of Glad Tidings Petaling Jaya; where our Food Bank's main office is located. They are a struggling bunch who usually comes from lower income group; and their spouses' work usually are more dangerous kind of work; from lorry drivers to road builders and construction workers. They are the ones we have recently converted sardine cans to Daal (lentils) where it is part of their staple food. They hardly rely on canned food but occasionally the kids welcome sweet treats from Keloggs and F&N CSR products.
These recipients are from Kuala Lumpur region, Kepong district. They attend Glad Tidings satellite church ourreach. If you noticed those boxes and pack of drinks, those were blessed by CSR group Keloggs and Ribena. Most of the time they will just receive potatoes, onions, oil, rice, and this time Dal (Lentils) as well.
Here is another outreach that is not associated with Glad Tidings but they were registered with the Food Bank, the Ijok district recipients. Every month right after the packing on Saturdays, they will drive all the way to our Food Bank center and get it all packed up to be distributed on the next day's church service.
This is one of our latest aboriginal group the Food Bank is supporting. They are coastal aboriginal families with many are struggling with not much to have; yet they remain a happy bunch with Jesus in their lives.
If you have noticed from our Kenosis Boys to these recipient groups, you will notice the vast range of different ethnic group. As long as we find our recipient applicants are genuine that needs help; they are definitely be in our list.
Each of these groups have their struggles and some have their breakthroughs; but our part is just help them (unbiased, cheerfully) whenever we have resources.
And so far, God has not yet short change us through this 2 years of journey together ever since I took office.
This is something I will forever grateful and thankful to God.
