Steam Simfest: A little something for everyone, or a lot for a few.
It took me a while to report on this one because it seemed a little underwhelming at first but the more I think about it and the more I check it out, the more interesting it gets.
These games used to appeal to me a lot more when I was younger. I guess I just wanted to experience real life, adult stuff, jobs, driving, management and building was always fun. Now most of those things feel like chores if they're overly realistic but there's still a lot to play here that won't leave you bored, and that can be either genuinely relaxing or fun.
The main lineup in the page has some real heavy hitters such as Arma 3, with the entire DLC collection also being discounted and not being all that terrible. The SCS Software truck games are also discounted along with their DLCs, with American Truck Simulator being quite alluring to me with how many hours I spent on German Truck Simulator and ETS2.
If you're into driving in general, this sale has quite a good lot of games that should entertain you, as long as you're okay with simracing or just simdriving.
Some of these aren't really driving games, such as Motorsport Manager, Car Mechanic Simulator and Train Sim World, not to mention Police Simulator having a bit more than driving. But they're all still great games, with I guess Grid Legends feeling a little out of place as I never felt that series was too sim-like. OMSI 2 catches my eye as I never expected to see an OMSI game on Steam. I played the original years ago and it's where I used most of the German I learned as the grandkid of immigrants.
Management and building games have always been at least a little fun or entertaining for me and some of these look really great, with Megaquarium and Two Point Hospital catching my eye.
Let me not forget to mention that a bunch of these games can be played multiplayer, with my personal recommendation being Space Engineers, that game is just a blast with a couple of buddies.

It seems the next sale is going to be about rogue-likes and rogue-lites alike, games I quite enjoy. After that we get a racing sale, another appealing thing to me and then the Next Fest, which is a celebration of upcoming games and less of a sale. With the big event of the Summer Sale coming in June, which is going to be when winter starts to hit hard for me ironically.
