Hi all, it's been a while!

I've been working on a couple of things that has kept me busy. One of these has been the Muslady Fender Strat knock off DIY guitar kit. I got this as a Christmas present from the wife and kids that I wasn't expecting. I was lucky that the bulk of the electronics had already been soldered and the build wasn't too difficult. I've never been into the whole pulling guitars apart and swapping out bits and pieces. People that know far more about that kind of stuff put the thing together in the first place and far be it for me to undo their good work.

The painting was the trickiest bit. Got myself some primer and some matt black and sprayed away, not knowing that there may be more to know about that just that. After 24 hours of the paint still feeling sticky I started Googling horror stories of having to scrape off sticky paint, sanding back to the wood and starting again. Lucky for me the paint ended up drying and to be honest, I'm pretty happy with the finish.

It was a fun project, and I like to call it my GSO (Guitar Shaped Object). It doesn't sound too bad, but it has the sustain of a damp sponge.

Jam Track Central have a 30% sale on at the moment and I kinda liked this song, so I bought the tabs and backing tracks. Having the attention span of a gnat I learned the first half and have now moved onto something else shiny.

Have a listen, stay well, and I hope you all enjoy it!!!
