While I don't think the members of the German Jazz Fusion trio Jazz Pistols are NRA members, and maybe the song birdland is not about a place where lots of hot chicks hang out, the title of this post kind of works.
Pre internet times here in Victoria Australia there were very few radio stations to listen to but there was a community station called PBS (still around I think) that had a Jazz Fusion show every Saturday morning called Bitches Brew.
I'm pretty sure this is where I heard the band Jazz Pistols. They have a few albums out that are all great with mostly originals as far as I know. The song Birdland is one of their covers. I know the song from my sister singing it back in the 80s when it was made famous by the singing group Manhattan Transfer. If you get a few minutes and want to see some really cringeworthy video footage I suggest you look for them singing this live.
The band has a website and store where you can buy backing tracks for any of the 3 instruments for a couple of bucks if you can navigate around a German website.
Here's my attempt with most of the solo until the wheels fell off and I faded out.
