Take your time and backup your important data, also check if your backups actually work. It's exactly same as with emergency exits and emergency procedures: if they are not working properly (because for example fire exit is blocked) or people are not aware of them (or just too used to false alarms) so they will ignore it, they lose their chance to get out from a bad situation.
