Our almond tree is in full bloom. Its been blooming for about a week and a half now. Its such a beautiful sight, only lasts so long before it drops all the petals & starts making almonds.
This one is a Halls Hardy Almond, making it quite unique. Its actually a cross between a almond & a peach.The almonds start out looking like little mini peaches and then the skin shrivels down to the peach like seed. The almonds are very flavorful, they have a bit of sweet amaretto taste in them.
