Do you feed your Innerchild?

Innerchild is the name of one of my first paintings.

Feeding your innerchild is something we all should do. But what does this mean?
We will start asking ourselves some questions. Do you remember….
When was the last time you cried with tears of laughter?
When did you play a game for that long that you forgot the passing of time?
When did you dance under the rain?
When did you play fool and start dancing at a supermarket?
Or whatever activity that made you lose the adult self, something you wouldn’t do in front of your boss (they say :P)

The painting I’m sharing in the end of the post, is a reminder to all of us, our innerchild is there always, looking at us, wishing to be looked at.

When you don’t pay attention to it, there are symptoms of discomfort that come to the surface. I will share this at another post if you are interested in knowing more about it.

This all comes because last Wednesday I took such a good care of my little girl, my young me.

Would you like to read the story?

A friend of mine picked me up and we drove till platja del Castell, in Palamós, Catalonia.
Have a look at the photos, no it is not Mexico, neither Thailand, it is not Greece, none of these; it is Catalonia, the south-west of Europe.
I couldn’t believe the crystalline water I was swimming. Days like that I ask myself why do I travel so far with the paradise I come from.

As you can see, I didn’t even take photos, was one of those days that I abandoned my phone 💓

We rented a kayak, went snorkelling, swam behind fishes, both of us surprised by each different species we found. Laughing and playing like kids, as if we didn’t see a school of fish before.

We saw sea tomatoes, lots of fishes that I don’t remember their names, crabs, sea urchins, and more!
There was a lot of Posidonia, a native marine plan of the Mediterranean sea protected and loved. When you see this plant, it means that water is clean. This is because it has a role in the filtration of sediments, which makes the water very transparent (here is the secret of this turquoise colour) as well as oxygenates the underwater ecosystem.
Pay attention to this next time you go underwater, see if you find Posidonia.

That day was one of those really hot days in Catalonia, we felt the sun at every second and we had to protect from it… but without realising, we had to pay 6 hours of kayak :P it seems that heat didn’t even bother us, fishes made us forget the time.
I invite you to share with me when was the last time you felt something like this, that you fed your innerchild. But if you don’t remember it, I invite you to go out and enjoy yourself as soon as possible.
