I've been calling this one the "Headhunter".

Today's scholars generally agree that headhunting's primary function was ritual and ceremonial. It was part of the process of structuring, reinforcing, and defending hierarchical relationships between communities and individuals. Some experts theorize that the practice stemmed from the belief that the head contained "soul matter" or life force, which could be harnessed through its capture.

"Unknown Pharaoh"
It tickles my brain to think of all the unknown Kings, Pharaohs and Gods. This guy came to me after a dream and I had to bring his face to existence.

This was just fun, a "why the hell not" moment. I had the pleasure of studying art at the MET in NY, NY. My instructor was wonderful, we sat around the museum and drew our favorite statues that were created by the masters. Learning different approaches, this style is a favorite. Graphite shavings, a paper towel, kneaded eraser, stumps and pencils.
