Fair enough, I misunderstood something then :)

Sorry I'm unclear. If for example someone decided to point a server farm at the project, they'd probably destroy any competition from newcomers pointing a single or two home desktops at the projects, thus

It could be managed through the voting system? If someone is racking up too much they're not considered "newcomers" and can't participate in the project. Then the community as a whole would have

I get that, but not everyone is this altruistic. There are people that simply hunt the project with lowest possible competition and point a ton of hardware at it. These people would probably swarm this

I like this idea actually. The learning curve can be a bit steep, and when you just get in to it it can all be a little daunting. Since this is supposed to help newcomers, how will this project keep well

Great we had the SB, but damn it's been long since we had one that wasn't messed up :/

yay, my projects are included :)

1 piece stainless steel then please...you know what, screw it! I'll take a 100% pure platinum! XD

There are amazing, I would LOVE to buy one in (any) metal!

Was thinking about it :) I've got 20 Odroid XU4s coming in, so I'm setting up a small cluster in my garage :D

grcpool just decreased payout by 10% though (0.225 GRC/mag down from 0.25 GRC/mag), so that sucks a little.

Did some research on the throttling down to 1.9GHz, and it seems the stock cooler simply isn't good enough to handle all cores on full load. I'm experimenting with some water-cooling at the moment, I'll

Since our computing power is being used for something useful, the competition is welcome! The influx of new miners will hopefully keep coming steadily so this coin can build some serious traction on the

We help do awesome science, AND we get rewarded! It's a double whammy, other cryptos just don't offer this. Our computing power isn't just burned for virtual coins, it burned doing something for the greater

Fantastic work guys! Happy to see people are putting some effort in to the community to make it easier for newcomers.

I haven't noticed that, but we also don't monitor the clock speed that closely so I could easily have overlooked it. It's not too bad, but a little annoying if it's consistent though.

Glad to see I'm not the only one!

Only negative thing i have about it, is that the build quality can be a little dodgy. I've been through a lot of them at work, mostly for drone beta/prototype applications, and some of the boards were

Excellent post! I've already got some experience with the Odroid XU4, and they're great boards that have gone completely under most people's radar! They even recently released a fan less version that looks

Is there another card that comes close? The HD7970s I could find used on ebay are €120+ here in Europe :(
