There are a few places in Berlin that proclaim " Last section remaining of The Wall"
Who to believe? Does it really matter? I love Berlin, this is my third visit in the last four years, and I have only just "found" this wonderful bit of the city.
At just over 4,300 ft long, this open air gallery of street art, standing on the banks of the Spree, can claim to be the longest surviving section.
In 1990, 118 artists from 20 countries, were invited to immortalise The Wall, which is now a protected historical monument.
Time and dickheads spoilt a lot of the originals, and in 2009, the iconic originals were re-done. The originals no longer exist.

The restoration and remedial work caused a lot of hoooo haaaa amongst some of the original artists ( as sections of the wall were demolished and moved for construction work of new apartments and access to the Spree). The repainting of the original art was undertaken by a NPO, without permission contravening copyright........... ZZZZZZZZZZZ!

I have got in close to capture some of the fantastic minute detail on the larger murals
I guess in all honesty although it is "Street Art" and looks pretty good, to me it is more of a tourist attraction on a hop on hop off bus, so many individuals there taking selfies for their snapagram chatterapp or whatever other shite they use, then getting back on the bus to the next bus stop.
I wandered on to a place where tourists fear to tread, and although the guys would not let me in I got some fairly decent externals. Kopi Platz, soon for you all to see.
