Tilstone House, Cheshire.
Was constructed in 1888 as an aristocratic hunting lodge for Sir Gilbert Greenall, of the brewing family.
From 1901, the house was bought and sold by various wealthy families until the final sale in 1997, and the house became one of the foremost wedding venues in the north.

OOPS! Fucking big OOPS!
C,mon
let's mooch
There was a rather large window missing, I could not believe how careless security had become, when I first visited last year, the place then was locked down solid.
8:30pm Sunday 12th January 2020 saw a fire catastrophically damage the building.
Unlike Nero in Rome, Nerys did not continue strumming her strings whilst Tilstone burnt.
Chandeliers in many places undamaged by fire.....
....as was this whole room.
Next room in I could not stay in, it looks like all the salvageable furniture and bits have been stored here, but the stench of ammonia was so overwhelming and powerful, I had to go in and out a few times to catch my breath. Guess something had soaked into the plush carpet on the floor, I do not know. It just was very unpleasant.
Let's get back to the grot, we came here for grot.
Yes?
Of course we did.
This must have been some larder or storeroom off the kitchen, speaking of which.
Considering this was a sumptuous, wedding venue, the kitchen looks cramped and bereft of suitable modern appliances.
Guinness from a can?
I SAID GUINNESS FROM A fucking CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sacrilege, who are these Philistines?
Ooer! Yes please I think we need to look upstairs!
3some anyone?
Haute cuisine, Macadees, a bag of E-numbers and all washed down with a bottle of Budweiser, more commonly known as maidens pee, it is that weak; the mind boggles!
Everything in this place looks so old fashioned, so dated, this would not have been the venue of choice for me if I was looking for a ball and chain!
Right, time for a leap of faith.
Made it!!
I cannot tell a lie, I meekly retraced my footsteps, and found the opposite set of stairs.
Jesus! Bridal Suite, how big a room do you need? A bed and thats about it, a circular one, filled with water maybe. Vibrating mattress and a full mirrored ceiling. Maybe a spa pool, a dance pole and flashing disco lights. maybe a ward robe complete with assorted latex gimp suits, chain and canes
Nurse!
Nurse!
NUUUUUURSE!
More bromide for Mr G please he is going off on one.
It even has a balcony, if the view does it for you, otherwise its perfect for alfresco dining
I think it is a bit late for that to be honest.
Well that is as far as we can go, we have reached the heavens above.
So back out into the daylight
Where I bumped into one of the blushing brides and her maids
Nurse, Nurse, quickly 2 tablets for Mr G. he is at it again
