RE: Muse (Original Short Fiction)
Thank you for the response. Sorry for the delay, I've been off Steemit for a while. Just getting back into the swing of things. I agree completely about the last paragraph being forced. I felt like I needed

RE: Lazy Wednesday - Easy 10 STEEM Giveaway! STAR WARS Name
Fit-Qu Ch-Cha It almost sounded like a real Jedi name until it turned into a jaunty dance. You throw your arms out front like a Rancor claw, then you Force Push up -- that's the Fit-Qu Ch-Cha.

RE: Occulted Truth #5
The way you phrased your post suggested that the "latter portion" was supposed to be support for the conclusion in the "former portion". I was pointing out that it wasn't. Your bizarre

RE: Occulted Truth #5
Neither the word "god" or "devil" have any etymological history with the words "good" or "evil". Both words are derived from other languages (Old English, German,

RE: Boskop Man: Ancient Humans With Extraordinarily Large Skulls - How Smart Were They?
I was actually going to post something along these lines. Brain size != intellect. That's been shown through repeated tests. Even among humans, larger brains only equate to greater memory capacity.

I certainly appreciate it, but I wouldn't think this is one of the more interesting parts of the story, unless you've followed the whole thing. With that in mind, I'll be posting something in the next

Glad to hear it. I thought the unorthodox storytelling would put people off, but stick with it over the next several days to see where it's going.

RE: NaNoWriMo Excerpt #3 -- The Girl (Outwilds)
The birthmark is actually an important plot point. Believe me, I wouldn't have included it if it didn't have some real significance. EDIT You are right about it being cliche, though, so I wanted to elaborate

RE: NaNoWriMo Excerpt #1 -- The Dealer (Somnolence)
I guess I should have clarified, but this isn't the beginning of the novel. This particular excerpt actually comes from near the end of the book. I led off with this excerpt because it's the closest thing

RE: Darkness, Foe; Darkness, Friend (Original Short Fiction)
You're right, it's ugly to look at. My original thinking when I wrote it was that it was one continuous experience -- one small piece of a child's life -- so it should run together, like a memory. Choosing

Rereading this, saying it was an "experiment" is not entirely accurate. It was a writing exercise. I wanted to see if I could start a story with the phrase "It was dark", then write
