On the same day we visited --> Budva our journey proceeded to the stunning Lake Skadar, the largest lake on the Balkan Peninsula. We embarked on a two-hour boat tour from the charming fishing village of Virpazar. Lake Skadar is not only Europe's largest bird reserve but also a sanctuary for 270 bird species, including some of the continent's last remaining pelicans. Surrounded by mountains, the lake offers breathtaking views in every direction. The panoramas are particularly spectacular in winter and spring when the mountains are covered in snow.
