Blessings for the entire community @ Steemchurch. A new message Our greatest temptation is to live our lives for ourselves, depend on our own ingenuity, strength and knowledge. Jesus had a similar temptation. Let's think about it for a moment. It was not the riches, the fame or the pleasures of this world that tempted Jesus. It was the possibility of using his own divine powers. He was divine and at the same time human. Therefore, I could have done it easily. But to be our example in all things, he had to depend totally on his heavenly Father, as we should do, to obtain from Him guidance, wisdom and power to resist temptation.

In the book of Hebrews 2:17, we find:

As one of us, I was going to give an example of obedience. For this he took upon himself our nature, and passed through our vicissitudes. Therefore, it was convenient that everything resembled his brothers.

If we had to endure something that Jesus could not bear, in this detail, Satan would represent the power of God as insufficient for us. Therefore, Jesus was "tempted at every point, just as we are" (Hebrews 4:15). Supported all the tests to which we are subject. And he did not exercise any power in his favor that is not generously offered to you. As a man, he faced temptation and overcame the strength that God gave him.

This passage gives us a lot of trust in God because I know we have the same access to this power that Jesus had. As we see, Jesus lived the life that God expects us to live through daily personal communion with him.
