Government Circular Reference Check. Is this thing on?

Let us explore some simple circular logic:

Paying for a government ID to cash checks.

Sometimes I feel like I am going crazy. How can I be the only person I know who finds it OUTRAGEOUS that we live in a system where:

1. Government mandates banks require a government issued photo ID to verify who you are.
2. If that ID is expired, you are somehow and magically no longer the human being pictured.
3. Banks legally block you from money that is rightfully your own (say you are paid via check).
4. Governments CHARGE for the ID that they require you to use.

Of course, it's really the last one there that pisses me off more than any other.

No - FUCK THAT!

There are 300,000,000+ people in this country. That means this "business" we call "government" has guaranteed itself $9,000,000,000 in revenue (that's 9 BILLION) from just this singular source and everyone is fine with it.

The really begs the only obvious question...

What is wrong with YOU??

(PS. I already know the SSN and strawman arguments, UCC related topics (but no expert there yet). This is to the folks who completely go along with this system without even thinking about it.)
