I'm getting better about posting these end of season report cards in a more timely fashion. This season I managed to remember to post it only one week into the new season! So the big event in Season 67 for me was the purchase of a Waka Spiritblade card. Since these cards all sold out in under 45 seconds I feel pretty lucky to have gotten one. In fact, when it showed that had managed to complete the purchase I was so excited that I completely forgot that there was a chance that it would turn gold. It didn't.
I think this card will be the start of a new level of game play for me in Splinterlands. Up until this point, I've only owned Gold League or lower cards. I've built a pretty solid Gold League deck mostly from Alpha and Beta version cards. This Waka summoner card is the first Max level card I've ever owned. Since purchasing the Waka I've upgraded a couple more Death and Neutral Splinter Chaos Legion cards to max level. Once I have a solid max level Death Splinter deck I'll start upgrading the other Splinters until I have a complete Max level deck.

I didn't have my Waka for very long before the end of season, so other than a few wins in Diamond League, I didn't get much use out of it. It was evident that I needed higher level cards once I got into Diamond 3 and tried using the Waka summoner. So, I'm working on that now and hope to do better in Diamond league towards the end of this current season.
I did try participating in 3 of the new tournaments this past season. I placed in the money in all three but because I forgot to enter my battles for the second day of one of the tournaments, I didn't do as well as I could have. More on that below.

The Silver A-Game tournament was the one I forgot to battle the second day. If I had remembered, I am confident I could have placed much higher and perhaps had a better prize. As it stands, I received 200 SPS rewards for the 3 tournaments. After subtracting the 40 SPS entry fees, I had a net profit of 160 SPS.

I think the bright spot in my rewards this season would be the 4 Gold Foil common cards I got from reward chests. Everything else was just so-so. My total rewards dropped significantly from last season, mostly due to the 4 Chaos Legion packs I received last season verses only one this season. Otherwise, it all worked out to be about the same.

My rental revenue continues to trend down slightly. I pulled a lot of cards off the rental market. They were not getting any action or the rents were set too low. As I continue to work towards a more powerful deck I will be pulling more off the market and combine them for higher level cards so I've already accepted that my rental income will continue to drop.

Other than the 5000 SPS I used to purchase Waka, I continue to stake all the SPS I get. The price of SPS and Vouchers is dropping steadily, but that isn't a concern for me since I'll just be HODLing these for the long term and I'm confident that the price will eventually return to previous highs eventually. It may take a year or two, but that just gives me more opportunity to gather more of the tokens.
So far, I've been winning about 50% of the matches when I use my new Waka Spiritblade card. That's pretty good considering how weak my Death Splinter deck is. So this season and the next will mostly be about boosting the level and power of my Death Splinter cards and learning how to best utilize Waka.
