Welcome to a bright new season, soccer fans around the world. Last season ended with no much surprises as Manchester City ended up as champions of England.
Not much has changed relatively but fresh input during the course of the transfer window, and the world cup break with the ever-exciting preseason, has brought in its excitement of uncertainty.
The first weekend has played out with no much surprises too for the top teams. Manchester United who came off runners up to the title last season played out a 2-1 win at home to former champions, Leicester City with Vardy securing a consolation goal of the game for the visitors. Chelsea beat Huddersfield a resounding 0-3 before the Huddersfield fans. Liverpool hammered the Hammers with 4 unreplied goals in front of the Merseyside fans whilst Manchester City travelled to London to see the Gunners to a 0-2 home defeat.
It will be unsafe to write out either the Gunners or the boys from Leicester at so early a stage. Liverpool and Chelsea are on top of the table as the Manchester clubs chase on. But, Arsenal and Leicester City will be looking to turn their fortunes around in the forthcoming games.
