Today I have another wetland of Estonia to show you. There are so many of them here that I honestly don't know how many I have visited in my life. And there still are so many yet to see.
This is Kodru bog and it is located in the middle of Estonia, in Järva county. I went there about 2 weeks ago and the weather was nice and warm, much warmer as it is now in April.

Like in most of the bogs. You don't step out of the car and walk on the wetland. Usually, first, you have to make your way to the bog over the fields and through the forests. In this case, the hike didn't take too long and overall it was a 5KM walk.

Here you can already tell that you are arriving at the bog because the trees are getting shorter.

The weather was very quiet and it was so relaxing to be there.

Did you know that these trees in the bog are short and narrow but they are well over a hundred years old?

At this point, I was a little confused, what the hell is happening in here right now. A guy standing on a treetop, no hands taking a photo?

After a little more walking I realized it was a tiny watchtower, a very unstable one. At least it solved my treetop mystery.

These are taken from the tower.

This is taken on my way back from the bog, in the forest. I loved the lighting at this moment.

Afterward, I took a short walk on the nearby countryside road and some pictures due to the pleasant lighting and beautiful landscape.

That should be a tavern of some kind but it was closed due to Coronavirus.

I will also add a shot of the sunset of that evening.

After a Kodru bog, I have visited 2 other bogs and you will see posts from these places soon enough.

Stay tuned!
