And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. Luke15:20
The prodigal son was in the bondage of sin, recklessness, poverty, afflictions and separation from the father as long as he remained in the strange land.
No matter how rich the father was, he remained poor until he made a decision to return home. It's a critical lesson to us today, my beloved brethren.
The decision to go to God is the best, no matter where we find ourselves. God is ever waiting to receive us no matter how messed up we are.
Don't expect God to come to the strange land of sin, poverty, afflictions, sickness or pride and force you to return home when you haven't come to yourself and make the decision to return to Him.
It's the decision to come to Jesus that makes the whole difference. Hallelujah!
The Lord is full of compassion towards those that come. He's not going to count our mistakes, but He's ready to wipe all away without remembering them again.
Don't allow the pleasure of the strange land of sin to deprive you of the wealth of God's kingdom. No matter how much you have wasted of your time and resources, God is ready to fix you again. Arise! Come! Let he that hears, come. Jesus is ready to receive you.
Let's pray. Abba Father, thank you for your compassion towards us. Please give us the grace to remain in you as we denounce every entanglements with the world, in Jesus name. Amen.Shalom.
