I actually enjoyed playing Terracore and I'm disappointed to learn that it's no longer being actively maintained, developed. Knowing the game's potential and the community interest it generated before, I was wondering if there might be any option or possibility of open-sourcing this project on GitHub.
For example by Making the code publicly available (I think only the back end is public?) could allow passionate community members to contribute improvements, fix bugs, and potentially address some of the balance concerns that players have raised - particularly around the pay-to-win mechanics. Imo a community-driven approach might give a new life to the game while keeping what made it special in the first place.
I understand there may be business or technical considerations that make this challenging, but I thought it was taking into consideration since there seems to be genuine interest from players who would love to see TerraCore continue in some form. I think if the Dev earned a bit more it might motivate him more to update the game.
For example, other games collect hive delegations, upvote user's posts and distribute some rewards - for example for delegating HP,
scrap could be distributed with rare chance to receive crate, (the scrap could be bought from market for the HP earned)
some of the earnings could go into HBD savings to supply a future potential reward pool for the game and some to fund dev.
Finally, currently terracore does not directly sell anything other then the $10 citizenship, which is quite amazing to be honest
Thou if it would help motivate the Dev, maybe the colonies could sell land or something.
