The rate at which plastic is contaminating our oceans has implications we simply do not apreciate as evidenced by our failure to address the problem.
Within decades there will be more plastic than fish.
All marine life is threatened by this appaling situation and we are the sentient beings who can change it.
Governments are heavily influenced by corporate interests and therefore fail to address problems like this appropriately.
We have to save our planet by creating a social environment in which we can exercise the will of the people over our servants, the governments, to effect the changes required to protect us.
I do not have all the answers but AVAAZ is one way we can all contribute now.
