It's my colleague/German language classmate/gym partner /food buddy /friend birthday so what better way to celebrate than to go to G/F Tsai Hotel and Residences (11 Wilson Street, Lahug Tassa cafe for some sweet treat
The original plan was just to buy a cake and some coffee. So here we are picking three cakes with personalizep messages to sexy Chy. After some pictures with it we were famished. So we ended up ordering mouth watering meals with it.
As most of the reviews I have made I never received remuneration cash or in kind from the owners themselves . So for me to sing praises about this cafe is me being impressed by some sorts .Why? Well topping my list is they told us after our dining experience that we get to pay one pesos only for one of the three cakes as they have a month long promo if just charging one peso if you order a meal with a drinks. In our case Anna in red ordered frappe while Chy in blue ordered lemon ginger tea while yours truly just had service water.
Two, they serve fast and at large proportions as well. They're able to scribble personal messages on the cakes to celebrate a special days like the ones we had requested.
Three, they taste great as well. Pleasing to the eyes, tasty to any tongue and affordable at accessible location.
Looking at thoso you'd think they cost your limbs but they're not.
To give you an idea of their price range I took time taking pictures of their specially cakes. Here you go
See our charming Chy smile with joy. Those to me at priceless
Fourth, they have an array of food to choose from not jsut cakes but meals too.
For the same price elsewhere we get seated fast so it's a relief for us night workers. And the staff was friendly enough to get our pictures.
In case you're wondering what we ordered we grab for our growling belly these.
Our verdict? Chy's porkchops taste like those from Landers wholeseller store, Anna's Korean chicken recipe was fabulously crunchy , juicy and spicy while my pork ribs was bland compared to other ones I have elsewhere. Just the same they're value for money with the ambiance they are served in.
I always love cozy and artsy place and this place is just that. Check their lightings shaped lick tea cups of "tasa"Filipino word for teacups. I couldn't help take a post as well in their red telephone booth with a catchy saying about dessert too.
Fifth, the place is squeaky clean. I was blown away by use of coffee to freshen the place. The restrooms were so clean too.
So will I recommend this? Definitely as they are open while others are still close early morning.
The downside?Well their drinks are expensive and average tasting .The lemon ginger taste like the imported ones in Landers and the frappe was just visually satisfying. Everything considered this is a cool place to hang around.
