In the 70s we are in New York, after a peek in Philadelphia, one morning suddenly the city breathes new air, for the first time the people waiting for the train to go to work, see it arrive dressed in colors, thoughts are immediately conflicting, art? Vandalism? The fact is that in any case it arouses feelings and emotions. The fever for graffiti spreads, from 72 to 75, what were simple signatures begin to become real "pieces", it is immediately a competition for quality and visibility, the cities are filled, the first repressions are born and the campaigns against graffiti. Soon after, the subway carriages are cleaned and washed, and the bounties are assigned to the writers. despite this the fever continues, the challenges and the risk somehow increase the pleasure, thus also causing a sort of natural selection of the most capable writers, the style of graffiti evolves spreading, no longer only in America, but all over the world , binding to hip hop and becoming one of its 4 disciplines: Mcing, Breaking, Djing and Writing. Even today all this is still alive and strong, but with a look to the past to thank those who first decided to take to the streets armed with creativity and spray.

Anni '70 siamo a New York, dopo una sbirciatina a Filadelfia, una mattina all'improvviso la città respira aria nuova, per la prima volta la gente che aspetta il treno per andare al lavoro, lo vede arrivare vestito di colori, i pensieri sono subito contrastanti , arte? Vandalismo? Il fatto è che in ogni caso suscita sentimenti ed emozioni. La febbre per i graffiti si diffonde, dal 72 al 75, quelle che erano semplici firme cominciano a diventare dei veri e propri “pezzi”, è subito gara di qualità e visibilità, le città si riempiono, nascono le prime repressioni e le campagne contro i graffiti. Subito dopo, le carrozze della metropolitana vengono pulite e lavate e le taglie vengono assegnate agli scrittori. nonostante tutto, questa febbre continua, le sfide e il rischio in qualche modo accrescono il piacere, provocando così anche una sorta di selezione naturale degli scrittori più capaci, lo stile dei graffiti si evolve, diffondendosi non più solo in America, ma in tutto il mondo, vincolante all'hip hop e diventando una delle sue 4 discipline: Mcing, Breaking, Djing e Writing. Ancora oggi tutto questo è ancora vivo e forte, ma con uno sguardo al passato per ringraziare chi per primo ha deciso di scendere in strada armato di creatività e spray.
