Reunions are enjoyable things that occur after a long time. There's no thrill in seeing your friends better, larger than they were years back.
But many consider reunion as a way to show off that they are better off than others but for me, it's simply appreciating God you see your friends again alive. Not everyone is living to celebrate it.
The only location where I and my classmates have a chance to reconnect was at my high school classmate's wedding.
The wedding took place last month. Before that, we had a WhatsApp group we made to chat. The day I was included I was astonished since I wasn't notified, I was glad I could make contact with the majority of my classmates which I had lost contact
Everyone was requested to provide their recent pictures which I did. We maintained conversing and had video conversations occasionally, many were now in various institutions and levels.
We were going to host a reunion not till one of our classmates called Chioma was having her traditional wedding. It was an ideal moment to meet at least for the celebration. She was the first person who was getting married in our class I was very happy for her. The utility of the Asuu strike holiday.
The traditional wedding was conducted in her native town in Portharcourt. She was a Rivers state girl and that makes it easy to go because I didn't have to go to another state.
The wedding commenced at about 4 pm (Nigeria time). In Rivers state, their traditional weddings are mostly in the evening.
I met most of my classmates since many of them attended. She was very glad we came to celebrate with her and we took photographs with her.
There's no date yet for the white wedding but I know it will be soon. I will be attending so I will have to meet my classmates again.
