In the country where I live, certain areas of the North have water constraints owing to little rainfall generally from September when the Harmattan begins.
When I was in secondary school, I was taught in the Agriculture subject that the earth is formed of 30% dry land and 70% water. If this is true, I wonder why we still have a lack of water.

Still , there are nations and parts here that never lack water especially the south part of my country which are the Riverline areas.

Water is a very crucial aspect of our life that we can't exist without water. We utilize it for practically everything we do.
These are practical techniques we have to conserve and manage water, this works even in locations where there is shortage of water. It helps them handle the one available.

Avoid Wastage
One way we may manage water or other natural resources is simply to prevent squandering them. Check toilet or kitchen pipes where there is leaking. Minimum utilizing showers.
Also you may conserve rain water because that manner you are recycling.
In school most times when it's raining we keep our buckets under the rain and when they become full if they are too unclean for bathing, we use them in the toilet.
Many times rain water has been valuable to us.

Recycle And Reuse Water
In some nations this is efficient. Water utilized goes through the recycling and reuse system and is used for industrial uses and agricultural (irrigation).

Avoid water pollution:
One technique to preserve water or manage the one already received is preserving the ones we have from contamination. Water Pollution contaminates and renders it incapable to use hence causing water scarcity.

Government should also construct dams and reservoirs to store water. Dams are also utilized for electricity and prevent floods that are harmful to the lives of people.
