Being a volunteer is something I have always fantasized about.
First becoming a volunteer, you must establish the attitude of giving with no expectations in return.
There are those who have everything but can't give and there are others who doesn't have everything but can share.
There's a huge blessing associated with being a volunteer who doesn't want anything back in return or who isn't doing it for fame or praises.
Others assume being a volunteer, you would have to have money or a lot of money to assist people, but that's not true. You can aid and help with the skill you have.
You may volunteer to teach those that are interested to learn what you do.
An example is
You are a tailor, you may volunteer to teach two individuals how to sew. They may not pay to acquire the skill and it's up to them to be serious but then you have offered your time and energy to educating them. Now after studying they can start up their own business.
That's where playing a position of a volunteer comes without you having money.
I wouldn't say am the greatest in my field, however, in school, I take my time to explain to my Coursemate the issues they don't understand. I have also done Assignments for people who are sick and maybe had an emergency journey. I refuse to support people who are lazy because am indulging them. In all those things, I don't even ask for money.
The beautiful part about being a volunteer is that karma plays there. Good things happen to you even without asking.
I wouldn't say I have done much being a volunteer with my finances since am still working to be Financially stable, but I have always had the idea to volunteer largely in an orphanage home and the needy.
In those sorts of settings, more of what they need and would appreciate is your money.
