Fate is not a choice.
Did we think we could play God?
What a foolish move!
Give the earth a voice.
Cycles for the good and bad,
Still we need to choose.
That we can avoid.
Never having seen extremes,
Left unto the view.
Everything employed.
If our failure will be had,
Not without a rouse!
In working on part 2 of my Discussion About Climate Change series, I felt the need to write some thoughts in a slightly different format. Poetry has always been a satisfying method of self-expression and I enjoy the challenge of fitting many layers of meaning in so few words.
While a more scientific composition will be coming in the next few days, this serves as a short teaser for some of my current ideas on the topic. I do not write in haiku very often, perhaps I'll try to do it more. Thanks for reading my post!
