The scripture states in the book of Hebrew
11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
We humans over time have place so much emphasis on the sense of sight that we tend to relegate others senses to the background.
Such has been demonstrated in the popular saying that " Seeing is believing". At this point one can wonder, Can we actually believe that the wind is real? since we can't see it, but we can feel it's effect on our sense of touch. The instance given above enforces the argument above that faith is confidence in what is hoped for and assurance for what is not seen. It is clearly trying to make us understand that what we hope for is as real as what we see and we can infer that hope is the beginning of our sight.
Now I want to ask you a personal question. How many times do you think that if your hope is dashed that you are justified to loose faith?
If you can count the number of times you can feel the wind on your skin in a lifetime. Then think about given life that ample chance before you loose faith in any endeavour you have or you are about to
embark upon.
Faith is reality personified.
