러시아의 한 남성이 차를 몰고가다가, 도로 위에 이상한 물체를 발견합니다.
A Russian man was driving his car when he saw something on the road.
"나는 그것이 동물이고, 이 추위에 틀림없이 얼어붙어 있을 것이라고 생각했습니다."
"I thought it was an animal and it must be freezing in this weather."
차들이 지나다녔지만, 오직 슬라바(Slava)만이 그 생물체에 가까이 다가갔고, 그 생물체가 아기 고양이라는 것을 알게 되었습니다.
Cars were passing by, and the man was the only one to approach it – only to realize it was a kitty.
"매우 추워서, 나는 수건으로 아기 고양이를 감싸고 나의 차로 데리고 왔습니다."
"It was very cold, so I wrapped her up in a towel and brought her back to my car."
그리고나서, 집으로 데려와 따뜻한 담요와 난방기, 온열램프를 준비했습니다.
Then, he took her home and prepared some warm blankets, a radiator and a lamp.
나중에, 그 고양이에게 니카(Nika)라는 이름을 붙였고, 수의사에게 데려가 동상에 걸린 꼬리를 잘라내야 했습니다.
Later, the cat was named Nika, and was taken to the vet where they had to amputate her frostbitten tail.
"그 고양이는 우리가 도우려 한다는 것을 알고 있었습니다. 참을성이 강해서 불평하지 않았고, 구조한 시간 내내 매우 즐거웠습니다."
"She knew that we were trying to help. She was patient, did not complain and was very sweet the whole time."
요즘, 니카(Nika)는 행복하답니다. 니카(Nika)는 자신을 구해준 슬라바(Slava)와 함께 살고 있습니다.
Today Nika is one happy cat. – she lives with her rescuer who absolutely adores her.
추운 겨울날, 이 둘이 서로 만나게 되다니 얼마나 운이 좋은걸까!
