Hello art lovers! Today I want to introduce you to a character that has been haunting my head for a while: the Moon Priestess.
The Concept in this piece, I wanted to explore the relationship between a celestial deity and the void of the night. She is a guardian of the lunar cycles, a figure that doesn’t just worship the light, but emerges from the shadows to channel it. Unlike my previous works, here the wind plays a crucial role—you can feel the breeze pulling her hair and her gown, creating a sense of a ritual performed at the edge of a cliff.
Technical Details This illustration was a challenge in high-contrast ink work.
Negative Space: I used solid black ink for the background to force the viewer's eye onto the silhouette of the priestess.
Texture: The moon was created using fine hatching and stippling to give it a rocky, ancient feel, contrasting with the fluid, organic lines of her hair.
The Staff: She carries a curved ritual staff, which acts as her focus. It’s not a weapon for war, but a tool to anchor the lunar energy to the earth.
Every stroke was intentional, aiming to capture that precise moment when the world goes quiet and the moon is the only witness.

¡Hola a todos los amantes del arte! Hoy quiero presentarles a un personaje que ha estado rondando mi libreta de bocetos por un tiempo: la Moon Priestess (Sacerdotisa de la Luna).
El Concepto En esta pieza, quise explorar la relación entre una deidad celestial y el vacío de la noche. Ella es una guardiana de los ciclos lunares, una figura que no solo adora la luz, sino que emerge de las sombras para canalizarla. A diferencia de mis trabajos anteriores, aquí el viento juega un papel crucial: se puede sentir la brisa tirando de su cabello y su túnica, creando la sensación de un ritual realizado al borde de un abismo.
Detalles Técnicos Esta ilustración fue un desafío en el trabajo de tinta de alto contraste.
Espacio Negativo: Utilicé tinta negra sólida para el fondo para obligar al ojo del espectador a centrarse en la silueta blanca de la sacerdotisa.
Textura: La luna fue creada usando hachurado fino para darle una sensación rocosa y antigua, contrastando con las líneas fluidas y orgánicas de su cabello.
El Báculo: Lleva un báculo ritual curvo que actúa como su punto de enfoque. No es un arma para la guerra, sino una herramienta para anclar la energía lunar a la tierra.
Cada trazo fue intencional, buscando capturar ese momento preciso en que el mundo se silencia y la luna es el único testigo.
