In MoonKarts, mastering the race-track needs more than just speed and skill. You need a reliable supply of fuel, and you’ll want perks beyond the usual grind. That’s where the Auto Vault and Academy mechanics come in—core systems designed to reward smart players and long-term strategists.
The Auto Vault is your way of turning idle cards into something useful. If you have cards that you’re not using in your active races—drivers, parts, accessories—you can stake them through the Auto Vault. Once staked, they generate fuel passively. The more rare or high-tier the cards, the better the fuel output. That means collecting better cards isn’t just for show; they meaningfully contribute to your fuel economy.
A few key strategic details:
Fuel isn’t unlimited, though. You have a storage capacity—any fuel generated beyond that is wasted unless you use it. Also, racing with better cards eats up more fuel. Balancing your card usage, staking, and race participation is essential.
Still in the works, the Academy is a companion feature to the Auto Vault. Here you’ll be able to stake cards to earn Airdrop Points, a non-transferable credit that is spent when you receive periodic airdrops: drivers, boosters, car parts, etc. The more you stake (and the rarer the items), the more Airdrop Points you accumulate, influencing both how often and what kind of airdrops you get.
Together, these systems encourage two things:
Strategy over just racing — You’ll need to decide which cards to race with now, which to stake for later benefit.
Long-term growth — The reward structure (fuel and airdrops) attentively scales with your card collection, rarity, and commitment.
