Yes, there are more. Courage is another name for being able to face criticism. It is easy to rationalize controversial behavior. It takes courage to confront limited faith, to face slander, deceptive beliefs, inflated ego, and objection. Bravery is required for a dignified life of a soldier.
Regardless of the action, the person must have a critic. Many times critics have strong convictions. True valor is the firm establishment of loneliness.
Despite the consensus, US President Abraham Lincoln showed heroic leadership by signing a charter of release. The practice of righteousness is true bravery. Honesty and bravery with oneself and the people around one, bravery is the ability to move forward based on the belief process and to make the right decision to retreat if necessary.
Egoism gives birth to deceptive bravery. True bravery is manifested in behavior, not words. People who disagree directly are not terrible, those who disagree but do not let them know are terrible. They are so timid in their disagreement. Moral courage is born of values and faith is born of moral courage.
Faith strengthens, but doubt weakens. The brave man tries to deal with the situation in order to preserve his glory. The coward takes refuge in the deceitful path. They have sweet words in their mouths, and poison in their hearts. There is an ancient story about a vile Kusidjivi.
The story goes like this:
He lends money to a businessman. But for one disaster after another the merchants failed to pay. The merchant had a beautiful daughter. The eyes of this deceitful Kusidjibi fell on that girl. To show fraudulent help, he proposed that if the businessman married his young daughter to him, he would forgive all his debts. Otherwise he will be in danger.
Both the businessman and his daughter were perplexed by the incident. Fate decides what will happen '- Kusidjibi pretended to be generous.
He suggested that he put a black and a white stone pebble in an empty bag and that the girl pick up any one. If the girl picks up the black stone pebbles, she can marry him. But if she picks up the white pebble, she doesn't have to get married. And at the same time his debt will be forgiven.
The girl was very intelligent besides Paramasundari. He could not accept that his father would go to jail for debt. As a result, the girl agreed to Kusidjibi's proposal. On the appointed day all the villagers, the merchant and his daughter came together to see what would happen to her. They stood with interest on the bank of a pebble river.
Kusidjibi bent down to pick up two pebbles. Confirming that no one had noticed this, Kusidjibi picked up two black pebbles and confirmed his marriage to the girl. But the girl was noticing everything with sharp eyes. The girl was asked to pick up a pebble, on which the fate of the girl and her father was involved.
If you are one of the viewers:
What could you do then?
What advice to give the girl?
How do you deal with it yourself?
What path can the girl choose?
What he could do:
A. By talking about both black pebbles, the girl could have revealed Kusidjibi's evil intentions.
B. He could have turned his father into a victim of Kusidjibi by refusing. C. He could pick up a black pebble and accept the sacrifice himself to save his father.
The choices are not very easy. The girl was not ready to sacrifice her own life or the life of her father, especially her father.
What the girl did can be seen.
The girl put her hand in the bag and picked up a pebble because no one had seen what Kusidjibi was doing. Without looking at the pebbles, the girl took her hand out of the bag. He deliberately lost his balance and fell to the ground and the pebble fell from his hand. The pebble mixed with the other pebbles and no one noticed what color the pebble was. The real secret remained unknown to all.
He stood up. The girl apologized for her coercion and said, "Let's check the color of the pebbles in the bag to find out which one I picked up."
The color of the pebbles was different. So it was assumed that the pebble that the girl had picked up was white. Kusidjibi did not have the courage to expose his dishonesty in front of all the villagers. He survived his ill-intentions and both father and daughter were released. The girl's work was regulated for the purpose of protecting honor. The spatial decision of the girl proves that wisdom is nothing more than the application of common sense in time. Freedom-loving people accept the obstacles of life at any cost, the purpose is to live with respect and dignity.
We must always remember that moral people are brave, but not all brave people are moral. ' We work to gain happiness or to give up sorrow. People who have moral strength but are cowards do not take risks to defend their faith. Accepting something financially does not match the identity of valor. Courage lies in the courage to face the situation.
The ability to rely on self-confidence, even if rejected by all, is a symbol of heroism. In the midst of fragility, the imagination has to be realized through tolerance and self-confidence. The scientist Galileo Galilei is a burning example of self-confidence.
At the age of 26, Gallileo became a professor of mathematics at the University of Pisa. 400 years ago, without question, everyone accepted the ancient doctrine. The ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle was considered the greatest of all philosophers. Galileo proved that weight has nothing to do with the rapid fall of an object.
The rate of fall of an object depends on the resistance of the wind. This theory is contrary to Aristotle's theory. Despite the evidence of Galileo's theory, people did not want to believe it. They feared that the notoriety of any of Aristotle's theories could lead to the falsification of his other theories. This frightened them. No one dared to come forward in support of Galileo. But the scientist did not lose faith in himself. He remained steadfast in his faith. In time his theory was approved and praised.
Courage is a quality that teaches people to deal with fear without succumbing to it. Courage is neither fearlessness nor reckless behavior. Valor is the power to face fear. Recklessness is born of selfishness and is foolish. Choosing the right subject requires wisdom. Courage is the display of intelligence to know when to take a firm stand.
Courageous behavior inspires us. Courage builds trust. On the other hand, impulsiveness makes people confused and dangerous. Recklessness destroys faith. The bravery displayed by Mahatma Mohanlal Karamchand Gandhi of India and Martin Luther King, Jr. of the United States of America, inspired them to stand non-violently against injustice even in the midst of great catastrophe. The movement they led achieved a lot for the country and society above them.
Bravery emotional issues:
It is not bravery to show power and authority by torturing and oppressing an innocent person. It can be called 'cowardice'. Coercion and oppression cover insecurity. Valor is not born of strength and authority. The state of mind of valor. It can be practiced but it cannot be imitated. Valor is not the work of a single person. Valor responds spontaneously. Courage is the ability to deal with life realistically, move forward and take responsibility.
"It is not possible to defend values without bravery. So it is a very important quality.
Maya Angelou says.
The courage and ability to decide on any matter gives a person a place of honor. When the future is not controlled, the decision of others is naturally controlled. Moving forward with the belief that action is timely. We have to move forward. People deprived of courage and anxiety are just depressed spectators. The courage to respond to the call of circumstances cannot complete man. The situation of imperfection. Destroys self-esteem. Self-confidence decreases.
Tolerance:
Heroic endurance gives us the ability to deal with danger calmly and politely. Heroic endurance combines patience and courage.
Socrates was dishonored during the period for accusing Socrates of demoralizing the youth. When he refuses to give up his faith. And so he was forced to poison (Hemlock). The courage to stand firm in his faith recognized him as one of the best thinkers in the world.
