I think the same is true everywhere in Asia and perhaps most of the world. Teaching is not for me, I am abundantly clear on that.. I have met a ton of teachers working in SE Asia though and it is extremely rare that I find someone that actually enjoys their job. I think that the most they can really hope for is to not hate it.
