I have avoided basically all of the Halloween films for I think a decade or so. I didn't really even pay this one much mind when it came out and it appears as though I made the correct choice. When an old school horror franchise like this takes advantage of the actual holiday every couple of years yet continually fails to make anything meaningful out of it, I think it is pretty obvious what they are doing. I'm sure they made their millions now they'll just sit on a script for 2 or 3 years and do it again in 2024 or so.
