I haven't owned a car for damn near a decade but my experience with Fords have been almost exclusively negative. The first 2 fords I had got a pass because they were really old and I was a teenager. They were both escorts and were constantly in a state of needing repairs. Later on my sister got a Fiesta and it was the only real "lemon" that anyone in my family had ever experienced. It was a real struggle to get the dealership to admit that the car was in fact a dud and eventually after a lot of fighting and even a lawyer, they ended up giving my sister her money back. Needless to say she has stayed away from Fords ever since.

Over here in Vietnam the trucks sell pretty well because the Ranger is a damn sexy looking vehicle. It's just not very practical for the packed roads here though.

I've had great experiences with Suzuki if you can believe that, but it was a car that is no longer in production and in the states I think it was called a Jimmy, over here they were called Caribbean. That thing was 30 years old and any mechanic could work on it for cheap. I bought it for around $3000 and 8 years later I sold it to my mechanic of $2000... not too shabby!
