I ran into another mutual friend that I used to see hanging out with her a lot and had a conversation with him. It wasn't trash-talking, I was just inquiring if he has noticed this as well. He basically told me that he wont hang out with her anymore if booze is involved. he regaled me with stories about how she joyfully slurps down half bottles of vodka before noon when they are just prepping to do something like go to a movie or to lunch. I had also noticed that she almost always has sneaky juice bottles in her purse at all times that are 50% booze with soda water and a splash of fruit juice.

He basically echoed what I was thinking about how she simply is no fun to be around and cannot control her drinking. It has to be all or nothing with her and the "all" irritates everyone else. The "nothing" means she is bored, boring, and just wants to go home. It's a pretty tragic thing really because I thought that I had some issues with drinking seeing as how I don't really feel like I can go and do anything with my friends without booze being involved... I can turn it off by going home though and I don't think this girl can do that.

It's tragic, but I think everyone has already cut her off. I don't really want to be the hero either.
