Hello beautiful people of this community, today I bring you the analysis of one of my works already sold this year, I have to say that although I do not practice the Yoruba religion, the work has a great spiritual charge of this religion and I will also be showing part of the realization process...
The work is a visual representation of Yoruba spirituality, where the "key" is Eleguá, the orisha owner of the roads, and the "white flowers" are the five sacred lights that he unleashes.
(Eleguá): The dark figure in the left panel, surrounded by red and black (its colors), is the origin. It is the starting point, the one that opens the doors for everything else to happen.
The title alludes directly to Eleguá, since the number 5 (marun) is its sacred number in Yoruba tradition. The lights are its manifestation.
(The flowers/lights): White stems ascend from the darkness, blooming at the top like pure lights. They represent the connection between the earthly (Eleguá) and the divine (the purity of Obatalá).
The splashes, vibrant colors (blue, orange) and visual chaos reflect the constant movement of life and the sacred energy (ashé) that Eleguá sets in motion when opening the paths.
Conclusion: It is not just an abstract painting, but a Yoruba visual altar. He says that without the key of Eleguá that opens the way, the divine lights cannot flourish in the midst of the chaos of the world. It is a tribute to the power of movement, opportunity and spiritual connection.
I hope you liked this interpretation of my work...
