Once my high school days were over and I started volunteering at the humane society I found myself loving life helping and saving creatures who could not do so for themselves.
My dad really wanted me to go work at the embassy with him but my heart was already taken.
I've always been an animal lover but I never imagined they would play such a big role in my professional career.
I ended up working at the humane society for over a year following with a veterinary Technician position for nearly four years. Once I felt like I had learned and mastered everything I was at a point in my life where I wanted to expand my base. That is when the oportunity presented itself and I leaped with both my feet in the research field where I found a new passion for science. The thought of being part of finding cures and vaccines for viruses, infections and blood borne pathogens really made me feel like I was put on this earth for a reason. I had found purpose. 12 years later here I am . Still loving science and still loving my career.
