So. Steemit. I did learn about this platform a while back when I got fully into the cryptosphere and tried to find good projects to invest in. From that perspective it is a golden nugget. A unique usecase that enables a real prouduct that can really change media since it enables this new financing model for content (although I don't think I understand it fully at the moment).
The thing is: I never bought any steeem or did a deep dive into the site. Until now. So, I just want to share my first impressions about he site in general with you.
PRO
- Clean Interface, you quickly get how you nagivate around
- Damm, STEEM (the currency) is so fast
- Crypto newbie friendly: I like the explainer at the wallet page and also the seemless market integration
- Already pretty big community with a diverse content spectrum
CONS
- Search: Okay, it's a standard google search, but that model just doesn't fit steemit. You get tons of irrelavnt/bad posts. it would be better to have a integrated search with the categories, filter by upvotes, reputation and so on.
- The mass of bots: It feels like bots to boost people are a big thing here. I don't think that should be allowed on such a scale on the site. Clearly, you can't prevent the use of such bots over APIs, but you can try to reduce the advertisement posts. It is just annoying.
