WELCOME TO DID YOU KNOW
Hello everyone, I started this little write up to educate ourselves with little facts about the world and general information. I hope to share and listen to new facts. I hope you enjoy it.
📍 CHINA

Every year, China produces 63 million pairs of chopsticks, or 126 million individual sticks. These chopsticks range from mass-produced disposables to high-quality sticks that can take up to (yep) a month to meticulously craft.
📍 INDIA

India is responsible for the world's sweet taste. Although sugarcane originated in Southeast Asia, it was chemically processed for the first time in India some 2,500 years ago. (Many thanks to India!)
📍 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
One of the most recognizable flags in the world is the United States of America's stars and stripes. But did you know that the contemporary version, which has 50 stars, was created in 1958 for a class project by a creative high school student? Did the adolescent foresee Alaska and Hawaii being added a year later?
Surprisingly, the boy's underwhelmed teacher handed him a B.
📍 INDONESIA
The Southeast Asian country has the world's biggest number of islands, yet no one knows how many there are (thousands and thousands, to be imprecise). In 2017, Indonesia attempted to count them all, although there are still several estimates.
📍 PAKISTAN
This South Asian country has a little city called Sialkot that manufactures 40% of the world's soccer balls.
📍 NIGERIA
The Yoruba people of this African nation's southwest region are noted for having more twins than anyone else on the planet, with a rate of 50 per 1,000 births. So far, the best explanation is that Yoruba people consume a variety of yam that has an ovarian stimulant that may cause more eggs to be released.
📍 BANGLADESH
The lowest temperature ever recorded in this South Asian country was 2.6 degrees Celsius (37.7 degrees Fahrenheit), which is slightly above freezing. Despite this, the 2018 cold snap has been blamed for 12 deaths.
📍RUSSIA
- In 2012, Russian scientists were able to revive a plant from a seed unearthed in 30,000-year-old Siberian permafrost.*
📍MEXICO
The Mayans and other ancient civilizations erected several pyramids in this North American country. However, its least well-known triangular structure is the world's largest.
The Great Pyramid of Cholula is thought to have been built by the Aztecs over 2,000 years ago. Its foundation is four times the size of the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. Cholula, on the other hand, is now mostly covered in dirt and plants.
