Just last week I went for a short hiking in the rainforest about 10km from where I lived in Penampang District. Although the steepness of a total 10km is killing, the other 10km was just nice to compensate as a reward. The whole stretch is 20km in total and I would recommend to anyone whom wish to keep fit.
