I have my doubts on the soulbound reward cards. Only time can tell if they are a good implementation or not though. And I take finding packs in any end of season reward to be a win, so you won. I didn't though last season, but I only had very low amount of chest after taking a Lunar New Year break so my chance of winning is low anyway.
