Nah, not Monster Rancher, "Monster Rancher Battle Card Game". You should check it out since you played MR before and if you enjoy card games. I didn't min-max that had in MR either (I am somehow more serious in the card game than the main series), but I see LP of it and I see that you kinda have to if you want to complete the game.

The insert CD idea is pure genius, too bad we can't have that now in this metaverse age. Their newer games where you record voice to generate monster or sign the screen just never feel the same as digging every CD in my house for virtual monsters. 🤣

There's an expensive remake of the original MR on Steam right now(with that original pixelated graphic). I didn't buy it (yet) though.
