That which reveals or make things visible.Also the object that emits energy that makes vision possible.
History & Etymology
Today I’m going to work backwards starting with the word light. It’s most recent ancestor would be the Old English word leht and leoht, which we got from the Proto-Germanic leukhtam, which meant “light, daylight, and spiritual illumination.” The PIE root leuk with an original meaning of “brightness”. This was a pretty straight forward etymology. So let’s get on to the commentary.
