This is a quicky about a new 2023 coin not yet shown according to me here.
The new Kookaburra 2023 is out, hat is the design.
The portrait side is ..... still the Queenie! That is a surpirise to me.
The mint ofcourse is the Perth Mint and I heard a dealer saying that for the kilo there is a lot of interest. This is the 1 ounce which should be available soon. Now dealers can make pre order. Only for the 1 ounce
Info came from bullion now in Australia on youtube. They are a little afraid for yet another silver squeeze meaning no high mintage and limited other sizes.
Not sure if that is good or bad news. We need more collectors for more demand in the future. But for bullion it might me less important.
PERTH MINT info
I cjhecked the Perth MInt website and there they anounce a mintage of 500.000 of the 1 ounce (compare to millions of silver pandas!)
I hoped to see what flowers are used and bingo:

On internet I found this picture of the waratah (what a looker !)
Now only he Kookaburra sound is missing.
