Who doesn’t love a good Nietzsche quote?
My personal favorites include:
“In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.”
Almost anyone who buys gold understands why this makes sense. It takes guts to purchase gold even though we have clear proof that gold outperforms every currency on the planet over time.

Nietzsche is highlighting the importance of gold by making it the end goal as something achievable and desirable. Gold might be seen as a status or end goal here.

I believe Nietzsche is literally saying what is gold does not glitter....but radiates. This is to imply a deeper importance surrounding gold than just its shine. It’s intristic value and historic protection against debasement.
Also, in physics, gold is one of the very few Noble metals.
“From the sun did I learn this, when it goeth down, the exuberant one: gold doth it then pour into the sea, out of inexhaustible riches, -So that the poorest fisherman roweth even with golden oars!”
I have no idea what Nietzsche is trying to say here, but it sounds good.
“Give me today, for once, the worst throw of your dice, destiny. Today I transmute everything into gold.”
